The patrol system, and what the uniform stands for

This group of guides is between the ages of 11 and 12. This group is also run under a patrol system, arranged in numbers of eight, with the head of the team called the Captain.

A guide’s uniform stands for her promise, loyalty, service and obedience.

First it stands for loyalty. A guide should do her utmost best not to disgrace it, so the guide is proud of hers because she attracts attention, and therefore what she does brings credit or discredit to the whole movement. A guide will salute only when she is in full uniform.
