Free Being Me
We actively implement the Free Being Me curriculum across the country, empowering young people to break free from appearance-related anxiety and societal beauty standards. Created by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in partnership with Dove, this non-formal educational initiative uses interactive games, peer-led workshops, and community action projects to foster lifelong self-esteem. From targeted multi-day trainings in local districts like Buikwe, UGGA facilitators bring this life-changing program directly into primary and secondary schools. By helping school children shatter unrealistic body ideals, celebrate their unique identities, and earn their Free Being Me badges, UGGA ensures that a new generation of Ugandan youth grows up with the unshakable body confidence needed to become active leaders in their communities.
