Surf Smart 2.0
The Surf Smart 2.0 curriculum is a cornerstone program developed by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). We are driving the national implementation of the Surf Smart 2.0 curriculum to foster safe digital citizenship among Ugandan youth. Reaching students and community members across regions like Mukono, Isingiro, Gulu, and Kumi Districts, the initiative equips young women with critical skills to navigate online spaces, identify misinformation, and protect their data privacy. Through localized Training of Trainers (ToT) workshops and school outreach programs, UGGA empowers a network of young Advocacy Champions who cascade this vital cyber safety knowledge down to peer communities and schools, ensuring that Uganda’s next generation can confidently use internet opportunities while advocating for their digital rights.
