National Cleaning Day
Uganda Girl Guides Association (UGGA) participates in National Cleaning Day as part of its commitment to community service, environmental responsibility and healthy communities. Through clean-up activities, awareness campaigns and community mobilisation, Girl Guides take an active role in keeping public spaces, homes, schools and communities clean.
The programme encourages Girl Guides to lead by example and inspire others to take responsibility for their surroundings. It promotes good hygiene, proper waste management and environmental stewardship while strengthening the spirit of service that lies at the heart of Guiding.
Key focus areas: Environmental conservation, community service, sanitation and hygiene, waste management, youth leadership and community mobilisation.
